BALTICA SPRING TOUR - SUMMARY !

12.06.2015

As the last truck passed the gate, as the fences were carried away from the Arenas, as the banners of sponsors and media patrons disappeared from the railings, and when the proverbial dust has settled and maybe in a way we could say so about our emotions – we’re slowly trying to switch to the Stand By mode, instead of High Readiness. But one thing we know for sure – we did it! And we did it well!

And since we succeeded for the second time, the chances that it became so by accident or happy twists of fate are 50% less. We have already exhausted luck novice package, which in our case was really rather modest one, since the first edition of the BALTICA EQUESTRIAN TOUR, which took place in August last year, was definitely a challenge and a test, and the time preceding it, nothing but a several months of sailing towards the wind, than floating on a wave using good winds.

Yes, we start to speak a little like the people of the sea, but in the end Pomerania is our home now. The home which opens its doors and invites to enter all horse riding enthusiasts, horse lovers and showjumping competitors, but also the people who appreciate an active lifestyle in harmony with nature. One’s own nature and the surrounding one.

A summary is not just about one’s own feelings, experience or impressions (in this case our own) but most of all it is about hard facts and indisputable figures which are uncompromisingly frank in their synthetic message. Here are our numbers during BET – SPRING EDITION, so let them speak for themselves for a moment. Let them tell you what kind of an event it really was.

BALTICA EQUESTRIAN TOUR - FIGURES!

In Ciekocinko Stables, during BALTICA EQUESTRIAN TOUR – Spring Edition, we hosted 120 riders, representing 27 countries from 5 continents, with total number of 380 horses. Those couples competed in 66 competitions at 2 show jumping Arenas, fighting for share of the total money prize of 274 400 Euro.

BALTICA EQUESTRIAN TOUR - THE RIDERS!

Well, let’s finish with the figures, because BALTICA EQUESTRIAN TOUR SPRING, was primarily about people! Exceptional and great riders who occupy the highest positions in the world and European rankings, who are living very intensive sport life, while competing regularly on the world's largest arenas. People like Cameron Hanley, whose return to riding after a two-years break cost him 17 operations and serious complications that left him in critical condition and whose motto is - "I can accept defeat but not surrender”. People such as Janne Friederike Meyer, a member of the German National Team that won the gold medal at the World Equestrian Championships in Kentucky in 2010, winner of the most prestigious Grand Prix at the competition CHIO Aachen in 2011, a representative of the German National Team at the Olympic Games in London in 2012, or last but not least, representing Saudi Arabia - Abdullah Al Sharbatly, golden child of showjumping, since he won the championship of his country at the age of 16, and currently is ranked at 17 position of LGCT Ranking, and 27th at the Longines FEI ranking. And at this point we should switch to the BALTICA EQUESTRIAN TOUR - SURPRISES! Because they were not the favorites who came to BALTICA for the victory during Grand Prix competitions. The first week's GP winner was Philip Ruping from Germany, and the second week, to our great joy, a representative of Poland Andrzej Opłatek with El Camp!

BALTICA EQUESTRIAN TOUR – THE TEAM!

Riders are the most important actors of this great equestrian spectacle which is BALTICA EQUESTRIAN TOUR, but there are also people without whom this show would not be held and who are deeply involved in its success, such as: Course Designers, among them the best in the field - Louis Konickx and Bernardo Costa Cabral, Judges, Commissioners, Volunteers, Computer and Technical Support, Photographers and Cameramen - a world-class team of “Świat Koni” and unique and unrepeatable Herve Bonnaud, with his infallible eye and meaningful look. We can not forget here about the Show Office employees, who made it sometimes more show than an office, but always to the delight and acting in the best interest of our Guests!

BALTICA EQUESTRIAN TOUR – THE LABELS!

During the spring edition of the BALTICA EQUESTRIAN TOUR, our partners have taken care of the highest aesthetic experience of our guests - Mercedes-Benz unveiled the latest model of Mercedes Benz Maybach, the company Boston by Steinway & Sons has supported us in the organization of the recital of an exceptional artist - Wojciech Majewski, who first wowed us with his jazz arrangements within palace interiors, and then, at the final day, just before the Grand Prix competition, we were taken aback with the sounds of piano, straight from the Main Arena. Truly remarkable this Arena is - starting from its substrate, up to the score.

Along with the music flowing into our ears, there were also wide stream of Veuve Clicquot champagne flowing with a wide stream too, delicious Segafredo coffee and always refreshing San Pellegrino water.

Additionally, inside the tent of Pilsner Urquell Grill Bar, everyone who thirsts, could quenched that thirst with cold, golden, full of perfectly round, nitrogen bubbles Pilsner Urquell Beer. The Grill Bar was teasing and irritating everyones nostrils especially during lunch time!

BALTICA EQUESTRIAN TOUR – RIDERS PARTIES!

We know that whoever plays tough&rough during the competition day, deserves a total body&mind decompression when it gets dark. Our Riders Party, just after the first edition of the BALTICA EQUESTRIAN TOUR earned themselves quite a decent group of followers, and the trend is definately rising! This is largely due to the incomparable DJ Philippe Le Jeune Jr., who during the daytime holds in his hand the microphone being one of the leading equestrian events announcers in the world, while in the moonlight, lures Th the dance floor even the most dance resistnet ones. And they start to dance. Dancing like there is no tommorow!
